The family-run business Octapharma is one of the world’s largest suppliers of plasma products in the indication areas of immunology, hemophilia and intensive care medicine. Since its foundation in 1983, Octapharma has devoted itself entirely to the development and manufacture of drugs using human proteins as active ingredients. These medicinal substances are produced from human blood plasma or through the use of recombinant technologies. Octapharma’s products enable many patients to lead a largely normal life despite life-threatening diseases.
