The new website for MGW Gleis- und Weichenbau

THE TASK

A new website was to be created for Berlin-based MGW Gleis- und Weichenbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co KG, which operates throughout Europe. The aim was to make their offers and services more transparent for customers and to present MGW as an attractive employer under the heading of careers. The new site should be easy to maintain, i.e. the customer should be able to update it himself with little effort, and it should be compatible with mobile devices / smartphones.

The new website is smartphone-compatible

THE IDEA

The structure of the new website was defined together with the customer: Cleaning technology, lifting machines and other services were to be highlighted as key services. In addition to the relevant and practical information, a “call to action” should always be included, where the site user is directly requested to make contact or can quickly find the desired information.

THE RESULT

The new site is clear and inviting, and the technical theme is implemented in an appealing way, particularly through the use of images and colors. From the respective focus overview, the customer can quickly access the technical details. The design is understated and unobtrusive, the color scheme is blue for technology and precision in combination with a warm mustard yellow. This shade of yellow can be found in almost all pictures showing construction machinery and equipment such as construction helmets. In the background, a video is continuously playing, shot with the help of a drone flying over a railroad line at the edge of the forest. It looks very aesthetic, tidy and future-oriented.
