A great celebration: 30 years of UVA

If you were there (I’m sure you were), you don’t need to read this blog post

Because they’ll already know what our 30th birthday party was like: good and scandal-free, as far as I can tell. Nobody fell off the roof or anything like that. Our in-house first aiders and fire safety officers were of course present in full. The bands were fun, as were the food and cocktails, and the fact that after sunset there were still a few degrees missing to reach the feel-good temperature – no problem. We just cuddled a little closer together.

Nerve costume like for an event agency

What came before – that’s another story. With our nerves of steel steeled in the practical test, we are about to apply for approval as an event agency.

What we can do now: Red carpet on a sandy hillside lawn, singing happy birthday in several voices, microphones that go on and off at the right moment, and pairing up guests so that they have a good time while we’re waiting in line at the barbecue.

It all worked out fantastically – also because you cooperated so well!

Many people standing or sitting are talking. The band can be seen performing from behind.
That’s how it was at our 30th anniversary UVA party.

If you have something to celebrate in the near future, here are our

Top 5 extra tips for your company event:

  • Block your employees’ weather apps from two weeks in advance. It’s easy on the nerves and nobody will think of ordering a mulled wine kettle at the last minute
  • Say that you don’t want any presents – then you’ll get the best things after all.
  • Let your guests bring their mothers-in-law and daycare children along. Then they go home early and there’s more of the midnight curry sausage left over.
  • Be brave and don’t wear name tags, it makes the evening particularly exciting.
  • Impose an employee leave ban. You can only avoid them if you make at least three brilliant HR contacts at the party.
