Digital annual report

Development of a sophisticated digital form from a print work

For many years, the annual report of the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) was the icing on the cake of UVA’s print productions. High-quality design and classic appeal for a discerning readership at the interface between politics and business. Now the switch to digital has taken place, which was also designed by UVA.

Use scope, build up functions

Rewriting an established print publication as a digital presence is a comprehensive process that is not just about copy & paste and placements, but about important fundamental questions: How should the report complement the established ILB website? Where are there interrelationships with existing content? What new scope, subject areas and functions should be used and developed in connection with the annual report? How and where can we provide the reader with further information? How do we take users’ individual reading behavior into account? How do the reading processes work? Which service, which links are important and where?

Classical under Reconstruction

Text length and the proportion of graphics and illustrations were redefined for the new digital format. A responsive design guarantees reading comfort on different end devices. The demand for the highest quality and precision remained unchanged, as well as giving the content a creative, appealing and modern look – always within the framework of ILB’s corporate design. Ultimately, it should also entertain the reader: Balance sheets and facts are combined with individual success stories.

Always in the immediate vicinity: A button for further information and personal advice. The reader of the former print publication becomes a user of the website by coming into direct contact with the offers on the site. A further advantage of the new form is that content can be added or updated periodically and the visitor is always presented with something new.
